Assist is staffed by approved volunteers who undergo background checks and training. Our volunteers are ordinary people who have good solid life experience and who can offer encouragement, friendship and sound common sense advice where it is needed

Volunteering is as rewarding for the volunteer as it is beneficial to the client. Why not use some of the unique skills and experiences you have to help others?

A range of volunteering opportunities

Assist has a range of opportunities in 1-2-1 and group settings. Volunteers can opt to give as much or as little of their time as they wish. We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.
Our volunteers receive induction training and the opportunity to attend other relevant courses that they might find useful. We usually have a team meeting about once a month and our volunteers are supported by a mentor in all their volunteering activity.
